PROJECT SCOPE

Regeneration scheme consists of the "top-down" demolition of 7 no. 18 storey high rise structures. All complete to date.

High-level Summary of Project

Works for both sites briefly comprised: Soft strip and asbestos removal;

Removal of any trees as required to allow the deconstruction process;

Demolition of the building down to and including ground floor slab to 1.5 metre and foundations;

Crush clean, inert arisings generated from the works down to 6F2 and use as fill as part of the scheme – locations of retained spoil heaps to be agreed with the CA;

Clear and grade land and finish with topsoil to receive new low rise build homes.

4m high hoarding;

Asbestos removal phase;

Registering to Considerate Constructors Scheme – ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ obtained

Design and installation of propping to maintain the integrity of the structure during the demolition process;

Design, installation, inspection and reduction of full height demolition specification independent scaffold;

Brokk (robotic) demolition of upper floor levels;

High reach demolition supported by normal demolition rigs due to close proximity of housing estate:

Open day organised for local residents pre-contract and mid-contract and attended by TRD Contracts Director; Project Co-Ordinator and Health and Safety Co-ordinator

Liaising with neighbouring property owners/representatives;

Newsletter produced

Protection at all times of adjacent properties and those accessing same;
